The road to Christmas.

Christmas day is here and i hereby wishes everyone a very merry and joyous Christmas. Its a holiday for everyone i suppose. I was actually wanted at work but the request of leaving early for Christmas made it a holiday for the company of 4 people.

Went out with old schoolmates to Orchard to have our dinner. Was quite a pleasant dinner at "The Ship" with stupid jokes and funny actions. I think we are the loudest group in there. Had our dinner, chit chats, lectures and all sort of crap for a few hours and went out to Harris bar. Got a security guard to take a picture of us on the way out. Got lost when we are out and by some luck, Benjamin Toh somehow spotted our destination. Went over and ordered some liquor and gee... We are still the loudest. Su Qi drank her drink with guilt and Zi Wei drank his with no limitations. I on the other hand got choked by this small peanut and the alcohol got to me within seconds. I remembered that a few of us ordered Vodka (Zi Wei went on with Absolute Vodka after it) and some ordered Rum (i fall in this category) and the ladies went for some mixture of something. The whole Orchard Road was packed so we didn't explore much so we went home after the dinner and drinks. Was quite fun though. Hope i can wake up tomorrow for work.

Its Christmas! Merry Christmas to everyone. Took a few pictures of my workplace a few days ago.

The starfish ate the small lobster for Christmas. Ho Ho Ho... Same thing goes on inside of this small workplace everyday. The only entertainment we had was to look inside the fish tank. I think that's the purpose of it being left in the office. Today is Christmas and nobody is going to work. Hope the fishes inside can survive Christmas without food...

Yesterday, i was told that my work was left unfinished. Well, i was not sure what is wrong but i went on to check and gee... My save file was somehow corrupted and i had to re-do the editing again. Just as i finished my first "corrupted" work, i found another "corrupted" work... Thats what i did for the whole day... Editing what i had once edited. What a Christmas eve... Well, thats attachment life i suppose.

The set-up of the day.

Been another tiring day in attachment again. Went out for filming yesterday and boy was it boring. I was once again put to the test as my supervisors started shooting out job commands at me which i had not learnt or heard before.

Ann : Turn off your computer and help us check the equipments now, we are rushing for time.
Magnum : Orh...
*Turned off computer*
Magnum : Need to check for what?
Ann : Aiyo... You everything also don't know... Just check la... Last time that Wei Hao help us pack everything one you know or not.
Magnum : Huh? Orh...
*Starts to search the bags without a clue*
*Wei Hao walks in*
Wei Hao : Eh, you all done packing already?
Ann : You help me check my equipments, this boy knows nothing.
Wei Hao : Ok.
Magnum : What the f***? (Think bubble)

We set off to our filming location anxiously, except for me... feeling down.

Ann : Magnum, you go see What Patrick needs and help him.
Magnum : Orh.
*Walks to Patrick*
Patrick : You go see what Wei Hao needs and help him.
Magnum : ... Orh ...
Wei Hao : First time filming feel very stress right?
Magnum : Hah, more then that i suppose.
Wei Hao : Its like that one la... i last time also blur blur one, just watch and learn.
Magnum : Orh...

After the equipments were set up with conflicts and disagreements, we started shooting the concert. It was a singing session for the "Hakkas" and boy was i bored or what. Listening to some old folks singing songs that i totally don't understand. I stood beside Ann to learn the basics of filming.

Ann : Magnum ah, you have to learn how to handle this camcorder so next time you can help with the filming.
Magnum : I'll try.
Ann : Cannot try, MUST learn.
Magnum : ...

After 4hours of "stand and stone", the show was finally over. We went back to the office to keep the equipments and Patrick was kind enough to send us back home. Not the kind of experience i was looking forward to but... Oh well... Today was the usual stuff. Sitting below the stupid low temperature air-con doing video editing. I somehow prefer video editing than outdoor filming after that experience. Kind of feel like im a let down or something. Im still new for one thing and im been expected to be knowledgeable. Hope tomorrow will be better...

Its been 4 days after i 1st started my attachment. It was quite stressed and bored at 1st because we were not told of what to do, or how to do. So we were just given simple yet boring tasks which they are expecting a lot from us and we survived our 1st day. As the day goes by, we started to learn more stuff and i am currently editing videos, already! Editing takes lots of time, 1 full wedding video took me 1 day to complete. It was a simple to do wedding video editing and it took me 1 day. Gee... Its good though, as time will fly pass like something that flies pass very fast.

The small workplace i am working in is freaking cold. It doesn't take long for my fingers to feel numb. What makes it worse is that the computer i am using is having some problem, it will occasionally hang, close my applications/unsaved workpieces, and of course, lag. But other than these problems, i am quite enjoying the work i am given. Well, hope all these don't get anymore complicated.

Tomorrow, i'll be going outdoors to do some filming with professionals as guidance. Hopefully i'll perform well in front of the seniors. Oh and 1 more negative point of this work is that, we are suppose to start work at 11am, but the in charge always appear at 11.15am or later; we are suppose to knock off at 8pm but we are leaving at 9pm or later. These usually tires me out more. Looking forward for Christmas and my 1st payment.

Tunnel scene

Fell sick not long ago. Fever i suppose. Been feeling weak and giddy, working on my project and i think im not in any mood to go online gaming anymore. Changed my blog skin finally haha ^^. My attachment programme is going to start real soon, next Monday... Time flies so fast, i still remember the day i walked out of my Secondary school for the last time, now im going to do the same for my ITE quite soon.

Bad things happen to me one after another. My video project camera keeps giving our group problems. Then the pressure of deadline by our teacher, and now, my harddrive is not recognised computers. Many things are inside it... No idea how am i going to survive past this few more days. All these add up together, it becomes stress...

Due to harddrive breakdown, i lost a big chunk of informations and entertainment items. Now im so bored i can only MSN and blog... Even my music is gone... But i suppose i can manage these boring times... i hope... So if anyone is feeling pestered by me in MSN please inform me, so i can find another person to pester. Sick + Stress + Bored = Me.

A very tiring day today. Went out for film shooting half of the day. Wasted lots of time for the few scenes. Well, thats part of the process of filming i suppose. *shrugs* This whole video thing is not fun at all, it was interesting at first, but it doesn't seem that way now. How i hope i can just break free of this human cycle thing.

Human cycle : Birth - Education - More Education - NS (male) - More Education (good gawd...) - Job Seeking - Work - More Work - Marriage - Get a Child - More Work - Death.

I think i will feel more stressful and worn out at 15 December. Why? Well, IAP!!!!!! (Industrial Attachment Programme) Got into a stupid wedding video thingy, iDigital Production, located at the "well-known" Peninsula Hotel Shopping Centre. Went there to do the interview after the filming. It was located at 1 "ulu" corner. The building would be quite creepy at night i suppose. Saw the workplace, it was... ok... The environment is kind of cramped i would say. The computers are all Macintosh (never use before!) And the programme they are using is Final Cut Pro (never use before also!) I think i may have a hard time to adept to the company im in. But i am still going to try to adept as soon as possible. Wish me luck all. Hope it will end as soon as possible as well.
